Tower Crane Operator maintains & operates tower cranes to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment, working in construction, surface mining, shipbuilding, offshore drilling rigs and railway settings.
Responsibilities
Perform pre and post operational inspections
Prepare, transport, assemble and dismantle mobile cranes
Plan crane ‘lifts’ including calculating crane capacity and determining load weight
Perform rigging
Key Skills & Attributes
Excellent communication skills, often with hand signals
Strong depth perception and hand-eye coordination
Ability to estimate distances and load weights

Journeyperson Wage Rate
$56.49/Hr (Based on the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area wages, 2024)
