A Terrazzo, Tile and Marble Setter covers interior and exterior walls, floors with terrazzo, tile and/or marble by preparing, measuring and marking the surface to be covered, mixing and applying mortar, mastic, cement, or other adhesives, using hand tools, laying mosaic tiles and removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles.
Responsibilities
Lay and set tiles to create decorative wall, mural & floor designs
Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand & power cutting tools
Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
Mix, apply and spread cement, glue or other adhesives using hand tools
Align and straighten tiles using levels and squares
Apply plaster between tiles and remove excess plaster
Cut, polish and install marble and granite
Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
